[pictorial post] Singapore Oceanarium: Hangyodon Marine Discovery

The Singapore Oceanarium was officially reopened at Resorts World Sentosa in July 2025. It is now 3 times bigger with a full sea experience exploring 22 immersive zones.

Baby knows I love Hangyodon, and when he saw that Singapore Oceanarium was having their first-ever thematic event with Sanrio’s beloved half-fishman Hangyodon, he picked up 2 tickets for us from the website.

We were greeted by the 5.5 metre giant inflatable located right at the entrance of the Singapore Oceanarium.

Hangyodon’s installations were scattered throughout the Oceanarium, and each of them shared on the ocean-saving mission, which came to life through vibrant storytelling, interactive experiences and inspiring conservation learning. Hangyodon's love for marine life spread to every corner of the Oceanarium!

Through his mission, it is a great opportunity to learn how to keep our waters clean and protect marine life, as well as to develop a better appreciation for the ocean.

The most thematic zone that you can look forward to is 'Ocean Wonders', which houses one of the world’s largest kreisel habitats.

A kreisel tank creates a gentle, smooth flow of water making such aquariums ideal for delicate marine life such as jellyfish.

Next was the Ancient Waters - Prehistoric ocean creatures & fossils.

We saw life-sized replicas and fossil displays of prehistoric marine creatures that once ruled the seas while embarking on a journey through the 'Ancient Waters'. The life-like animatronics were pretty realistic, and I found myself in the scenarios of Jurassic World as I was walking through this zone.

One of the zone’s biggest highlights is the 'Shark Tunnel', but it might be tricky or hard to snap that perfect Instagram shot with crowds moving through. For me, it was so mesmerising to watch the sharks glide gracefully overhead.

Before leaving the premises, I picked up some Singapore Oceanarium Exclusive Merchandise featuring Hangyodon

Thanks Baby for such a wonderful arrangement! I had a good time exploring the Singapore Oceanarium. Though it was a bit crowded during our visit, the space was well-designed so that visitors could still enjoy watching the Marine life swimming gracefully around.
