Exploring Jewel Changi Airport

'Hawker’ by No Signboard Holdings is their newest venture, and is also the first full-fledged Asian fast food restaurant in Singapore. This Local hawker-inspired fast food has a kiosk at Jewel Changi Airport and is located at Basement 2.
  

They aim to serve local favourite food in a fast and casual dining setting. The localized food menu serves an extensive selection of choices such as Chili Crab Burger, Black Pepper Crab Burger, Hainanese Chicken Rice Burger, Nasi Lemark burger, prata wrap and many more!
 



 



Thanks for the invitation to try out the signature Hawker’s menu. We began with the - Signature Chilli Crab Bun (SGD8.90). It consisted of a thick crab meat patty that was breaded and deep-fried which was then paired with crunchy burger slaw that was topped off with creamy chilli crab sauce.


I am a big fan of Chilli crab, and No Signboard Seafood Restaurant is well-known for that. Yes! I was excited!!! It tasted great but my only gripe was that it was pretty messy, as the sandwiched mantou buns can't hold the ingredients well. 


Apart from the main highlight, we were treated to Satay Chicken Bun (SGD6) and Cheesy Fish Bun (SGD4.50). I enjoyed the tasty Satay Chicken Bun very much. 


Those who love chicken rice will also be impressed by their Chicken Rice Burger (SGD8.90), which managed to pull off that distinct aroma of sesame oil and ginger! It is sandwiched by flavorful rice buns, and the chicken meat patty was blanched and soaked in Hainanese chicken rice chilli, which gave it a satisfyingly fiery kick. There is a popular Singlish word to describe my dining experience - 'SHIOK'.

I was lucky to get hold of the tickets for the preview before the official opening. This multi-Dimensional lifestyle shopping destination boosts over 280 stores and eateries.


The Jewel Changi Airport is 10-storey lifestyle destination, where its distinctive dome-shaped facade was designed by the same architect behind Marina Bay Sands.
 

Perhaps the most prominent green feature of Jewel Changi is its Forest Valley, which is stacked with trellis upon trellis of different trees and shrubs. At the centre of it all is the massive HSBC Rain Vortex, the largest indoor waterfall in the world. The water rains down 40 metres from Level 5 all the way to B1. 



Oh well, maybe many will say it is man-made, but it was definitely pleasing to our eyes! In my personal opinion, this is an architectural genius! 
 



I enjoyed the stunning and magical light & sound show of the new fountain at Changi Jewel! The fountain had a massive rainbow colored laser light projected on the HSBC Rain Vortex, and I was amazed by the largest indoor waterfall I had ever seen!!





We took our OOTDs at the entire Forest Valley is full of lush, leafy backdrops. The photo gave a strong bamboo grove feel, and I felt as if I was in Kyoto, Japan LOL!
