Dinner at Oasis Hideout + Nuttylicious Hazelnut Spread by Harvest Fields + SG Sweet 60 High Tea Set

Oasis Hideout is a dining spot located at the Singapore Polytechnic Graduates’ Guild (SPGG). It is open to the public, and it is a little way out of the way for those who don’t drive. It definitely feels like a hideout!

I recently visited, and I felt that it was a quaint hidden gem! The poolside dining experience was absolutely delightful. The eatery serves up a special blend of Western and Asian flavours developed in part due to Chef Antonio’s hawker heritage.

We decided to order the Oasis Olive Fried Rice, as there was a generous old-school’s value meal top up available by adding an additional $5.50, which comes with a Soup of the Day and a Fruit Juice Drink.

While there were the usual pasta dishes like Aglio e olio and carbonara, I tried the Tom Yam Seafood Pasta, a spicy dish that combined linguine with creamy, spicy-sour Tom Yam broth flavors along with seafood like prawns and squid.

We also enjoyed the chicken 'Popraage' which were perfectly deep-fried. Beware, as it was so addictive!

Oasis Hideout offers a casual, fuss-free dining spot with affordable Western dishes that still reflect their Asian heritage. If you’re in the Dover area and looking for a laid-back spot to unwind—with some beers and pasta, then this eatery place is worth seeking out.

Where to dine:

1010 Dover Rd, Singapore Polytechnic Graduate Guild

#01-06, Singapore 139658

Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 11am to 9pm

My daily breakfast got definitely more exciting with the introduction of Nuttylicious Hazelnut Spread from Harvest Fields. It is made in Belgium with no preservatives, artificial colorings and flavorings

It is absolutely flavorful, and I love the super creamy rich texture, smooth consistency and rich taste. Best of all, there is there is no excess layer of oil, which makes it easy to spread.

It’s quite fragrant, and I love taking a whiff of the aromatic cocoa before eating. It is also a good alternative as a fruit fondue.

I give my two thumbs up for this product! 👍👍

I recently spent an afternoon with Sweetie at the Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre for a High-tea session.

The SG Sweet 60 High Tea Set is a mix of sweet and savoury bites. It arrived in a wooden box, with portions for two persons.

The Nasi Lemak Wrap was an innovative creation. From the first glance, it looked like a mini popiah wrapped up in a pandan leaf. In actual fact - a bite-sized of rice with sambal and was topped off with a quail’s egg and cashew nut.

I loved the Singapore Chilli Crab ‘Black Bomb’ with Ebiko.

Lastly, the set comes with a choice of tea or coffee!
