[Food review] The Durian Bakery - MSW Durian Cake + D24 Durian Mochi
During this year’s mid autumn festival, we actually got ourselves some durian snow-skin mooncake as Baby is a big fan of durian desserts. Hence , we were so glad that The Durian Bakery reached out to me for a review.
The Durian Bakery offers free delivery with a minimum purchase of $100 on their products, or there is also the option for delivery at $10 for any orders under $100. You can go for a same day delivery or choose your own 4-hour delivery time-slot. I arranged for the durian treats to be delivered to my house between 2pm to 6pm.
One of the highlights on The Durian Bakery was their durian cakes. There were a couple of enticing ones to choose from on their site and I was honestly spoilt for choice.
I decided to try their Signature 6-inch Classic Durian Cake. The
soft vanilla sponge cake was layered with the brand's signature Mao Shan Wang
Durian Puree. The filling was smooth and luxurious, carrying that distinct
bittersweet durian punch without overwhelming the palate. The rich creamy taste
and airy texture melted in my mouth, and the bittersweet taste of the durian
puree lingered after every mouthful.
This 6" cake is perfect for birthdays, gatherings, or just those evenings when you need something comforting and indulgent.
The Durian Bakery was also very generous and sweet as they sent over a 6-piece D24 Durian Mochi for our tasting. It is my personal favourite. Each mochi is filled with D24 puree.
It is dangerously addictive, definitely a must try product from The Durian
Bakery.
The 6-piece D24 Durian Mochi came nicely sealed in a plastic cover. You can place the whole pack in the freezer and have it as and when you choose, as it can be kept for up to 30 days!
The D24 puree was lightweight, palatable and just the way I like it. It was a pity that there were only 6 pcs for us to try. It was SO GOOD that we could seriously eat a lot of this! Each bite promised a bursting durian fragrance as though you were having the real durian.
Keen to satisfy your sweet tooth with some durian desserts, or
treat a fellow durian lover to them? You can order your durian directly from The Durian Bakery website and have
them delivered to your doorstep. You can also opt for self-collection at 2
Jalan Lokam, Kensington Square #01-47 Singapore 537846.
