A short weekend getaway to KL, Malaysia is a welcome for me, and it is something I always look forward to. It serves as a chance to recharge myself after weeks of stressful work. We booked our flight to Kuala Lumpur (KL) by Scoot. Our flight was scheduled on a Friday night at 1940hrs, and we did our check-in online. We rushed our way to airport after our work. Upon reaching the airport, the boarding gate had already been opened so we proceeded to the departure gate without printing a physical boarding pass. We used the QR Code to enter the e-gate. Without the printed boarding pass, our entitlement was not listed, and it made us encounter a little hassle for priority boarding.

While on the plane, we were super hungry, as we ate nothing after our lunch break at work. Upon reaching KLIA2, we were greeted by a pleasant sight! The human traffic at custom immigration was light, and it only took us less than 15mins to clear customs!
Since we had taken an earlier flight as opposed to the one we usually do, we decided to take our time and have our dinner at the airport before making our way to our hotel. We settled our dinner at Oriental Kopi which is located at the arrival hall of KLIA2. We loved their Curry Chee Cheong Fun, and it is definitely worth trying!
After our late dinner, we headed down to the e-hailing area to catch a Grab Taxi, and it took us approximately an hour+ from the airport to our hotel. It cost us RM75, and we checked in at the hotel around 1130-1145pm.
EQ has always been our top choice when it comes to our accommodation in KL. As usual, our room was located on the 49th floor, and we were greeted with a warm welcome card together with a plate of fresh fruits and a box of Praline Chocolates.

The room was spacious! All the drinks at the mini bar were complimentary! The luxurious bathroom amenities are from the Italian brand, Bvlgari. In short, their hotel amenities were on point!!
Good morning, KL! The Equator Club Lounge is located on level 50, which was a level above our
room! It offers quite a decent breakfast spread.

After breakfast, we headed down to visit the viral café which recently just landed at Pavilion KL.
13De Marzo offers cute and trendy wear featuring adorable teddies.
13De Marzo Café is located just next to their clothing store. When you purchase a hot or cold drink, it comes with an adorable palm-sized teddy bear plushie clinging to your cup and straw.
Plushies are all the craze lately, and 13De Marzo does it well by elevating up the café scene by giving a free little teddy bear with your purchased drink!
After getting our latte fix, we went for our usual shopping routine.
This time, there were so many good deals that shopped until we forgot to have lunch, so we headed back to the hotel to offload our shopping bag. We went up to the club lounge to enjoy our afternoon tea after our fruitful shopping.
The Afternoon Tea Set consists of assorted sandwiches, a couple of savory tart items, scones and cakes.
We took photos against the nice view from the Club Lounge!
After our Afternoon Tea, we went out and continued on our shopping spree again…
We came back at 6pm for our Evening Hors d’oeuvres. We went back to our room to ‘lepak’, and were pleased that our used amenities, such as towels, mini-bar’s drinks and tea bags were topped up. Thumbs up for their top-notch service!
We walked down to Zenzero Restaurant & Wine Bar for our Christmas dinner with relatives and it took us less than 10mins to get there. I loved the house bread which was baked freshly daily at the restaurant. The food was amazing and the ambience was top notch. Do expect a high damage on your bill here though!
We woke up early the next day to enjoy having a morning dip before having our breakfast. This time round, the pool was full of people, and we didn’t really enjoy ourselves like we did during our previous trip!

After the pool session, we went back to our room to have a quick shower
before heading up to the Club Lounge to enjoy our breakfast. During our breakfast session, we requested for a late check-out at 2pm,
which was granted immediately! We truly had a wonderful staycation with EQ
HOTEL KL!
We went for more shopping at Subang Jaya before heading to the
airport.
We had dinner at Hometown Hainan Coffee at KLIA2 before boarding, I picked a Hainan Kopi Plushie Keychain for only RM9.90. It was adorable and affordable!
As our flight back to Singapore was around 10pm at night, we were so glad that we had managed to do so much shopping in Kuala Lumpur over the weekend. See you again, KL!
