My trip to Kobe was our last stop of my trip to the Kansai region in Japan! We made use of our JR passes to take a 30 minute JR special rapid train service to Kobe from Kyoto!
Upon reaching Kobe, we walked over to the Minatogawa Shrine which is located just 3 minutes walk away from the JR Kobe Station.
The shrine features traditional Japanese architecture, with intricate wooden structures and beautiful yet vibrant torii gates that enhanced its cultural aesthetic.
The Minatogawa Shrine is ideal for tourists and visitors who are looking to enjoy a peaceful and quiet Shinto experience
We
had simple and quick lunch at the food court at Kobe Harborland umie Shopping Mall
I highly recommended visiting Kobe even though it is
a port city. I love the seaside city of Kobe!
Kobe City is renowned for their amazing beef, and Kobe
beef has long been renowned for its rarity, flavor, marbling, and tenderness. If
you happen to be visiting Japan it is worth splurging for the best steak in
Kobe!
Well, I Guess the only way one can be assured of getting legit Kobe Beef is to eat it at Kobe itself! Therefore, Baby made a prior reservation at Misono, the original Beef Teppanyaki restaurant which was established in Kobe in 1945. This popular Kobe beef restaurant claims to be the world’s first teppanyaki restaurant. The seating arrangement added to the comfort and ambiance.
Misono is located on the 7th and 8th floors of the Misono Building. It is a 7-minute walk from JR Sannomiya Station, and we were here for dinner. The damage was about ¥13000 per pax for 4 Courses of food. The service was excellent, and the professional chefs serve up the best succulent beef steaks before your eyes with seasonal vegetables.
We also ordered beers to accompany our meal. The
Kobe beef steak was undoubtedly the highlight—soft, juicy, and perfectly
cooked.
If you're looking for a spot to try Kobe beef this is the place to go. This chic establishment offers a true dining experience, and I would recommend to try it at least once in your life, for the top-quality food and service. Although the damage might seem higher than others, I felt that it was well worth it!
We headed back to Kyoto and we did some packing
before heading back to Osaka to conclude our holiday. We checked out from the
hotel after breakfast, and we headed back to Osaka.
Upon reaching Namba Station from Kyoto, we checked-in to Swissotel Nankai Osaka once again for our last night's stay. After dropping our bags in the room, we headed down to PARCO Shinsaibashi which was literally a 5-7mins walk from our hotel.
We went to the Fueki Shop to have some soft serve ice cream. Simply choose your favorite container from the selection of animal containers (dog, rabbit, elephant, matcha fueki-kun) then make the Fueki Soft Serve Ice Cream with the soft serve machine. The damage was 550 yen and you can keep the container after you have finished the ice-cream.
On our last night in Osaka, we settled for our
simple and quick dinner at Matsunoya and continue with last
minute shopping at the Namba area.
Breakfast at the hotel is served at the hotel's
restaurant 'Table36', which is aptly situated on the 36th floor, and the view
was splendid!
The sumptuous breakfast consisted of usual Western breakfast staples, as well as Japanese fare. We could also choose to have our eggs made to order as per our own choices!
As our flight was schedule around 4+, we headed out straight after breakfast do more last-minute shopping. We went to Namba Walk which is just 5-minute's walk away from my hotel, and I picked up some of my favorite Japanese skincare and hair products.
We had our lunch at our favorite place for Japanese ramen - Ichiran Ramen! This is a mandatory eat at any part of Japan that we visit! The soup broth tasted awesome, and the noodles were firm and chewy too.
This eatery place is highly recommended to people who are looking for tasty Ramen! Due to being a touristy joint, the damage might be leaning towards the higher side as compared to other ramen joints, but it's your best bang for buck for great Ramen.
Since our hotel is located right above the Nankai Rapid Train Station, it was a breeze to roll our luggage from the hotel to the station, and the journey to Kansai International Airport takes just 35 minutes.
I have come to the last and final post of my latest Japan holiday. Thanks so much for reading up on my experiences during my Autumn Japan trip. Time really flies, as it has been almost 3 months+ since I returned from Osaka and other cities within the Kansai region. We will meet again soon, Japan!
